Throughout the history of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Latin artists have strutted and stunned on the red carpet with show-stopping outfits that turn heads. While some prefer to go chic-casual or opt for simple cocktail attire, others go all out, wearing extravagant and memorable ensembles.

Such was the case with Thalía in 2001 when she stepped out (and totally rocked) a leopard-and-snakeskin-print three-piece set that included a mini dress, a cape-like coat and over-the-knee boots. And who can forget when Bad Bunny became a vision in purple back in 2018. El Conejo Malo definitely took the spotlight looking flashy as ever wearing a lustrous purple suit. He completed his look with matching lavender-colored sunglasses.

Most recently, it was Rosalía who dazzled in highlighter-yellow Valentino. Her two-piece design was featured in the fall/winter 2021 couture runway show. The look was completed with a thick satin cape and leather, elbow-length gloves.

The 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Watsco Center in Miami and will broadcast live on Telemundo beginning at 7 p.m. ET. As has been the case for more than 20 years, the Billboard Latin Music Awards — which will be simulcast on Universo, Peacock and the Telemundo App and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional — coincide with Billboard’s annual Latin Music Week, the single largest and most important gathering of the Latin music industry, taking place Sept. 26-Oct. 1.

Before Latin acts step out once again for the biggest night in Latin music, let’s revisit some of the red carpet looks over the past years.
